Owners, Shannon Miller and Jen Banford, absolutely love the city of Palm Springs and wanted to bring something new, fun, and unique to this vibrant desert destination. Their vision was to create a business that wasn’t just about entertainment, but about community, connection, and celebrating everything that makes Palm Springs so special. It was very important to both Shannon and Jen that Sunny Cycle be more than just a ride—it had to be an experience that brought people together, supported local businesses, and reflected the playful, welcoming spirit of the city.
Both Shannon and Jen believe strongly in becoming part of the fabric of the community, and from the very beginning they committed themselves to being active, engaged, and supportive members of the Palm Springs family. Their idea was sparked by experiencing a super fun, eco-friendly entertainment ride in Minneapolis, MN, where they saw firsthand how a pedal-powered group ride could turn strangers into friends, bring life to the streets, and create memories that lasted long after the ride was over.
When the opportunity came to pair this one-of-a-kind concept with the charm, style, and energy of Palm Springs, the decision was easy. They knew the Sunny Cycle would be a perfect match for the city—an unforgettable adventure that blends fun, sustainability, and community into one. Our Bike
The Sunny Cycle is a safe entertainment and tour service that partners with local businesses to make the Palm Springs experience a memorable one. Sunny Cycle is engineered on a technology platform that is considered ‘best in class’, with a surround stereo sound system, USB port phone chargers, under-carriage lighting, under-canopy lighting, and an electric motor assist function. The electric motor assist relieves the riders of the burden of pedaling on uphill grades, assists coming off of red lights, and otherwise accommodates all rider capabilities. Passengers pedal for a while, then stop for a refreshment and/or appetizer, then mount the bike again and pedal on! We are focused on providing our customers with a whole new way to experience the great downtown of Palm Springs!
